La Mite is an experimental, photography-based short film, based on "The Gentle Spirit" by Dostoevsky.
The narrator facing the lifeless body of his wife laid out on a table, attempts to make sense of the situation and find out (by reviewing what has happened in the past) why on earth this woman is dead?

Bam photographic Rescue Project:
Saving what we can of the past
A documentary about photo studios in Bam, the Iranian city which was almost completely destroyed by earthquake.
After Bam earthquake, Parisa Damandan, Iranian photographer and photo-archivist set out to Bam with the idea of retrieving the photographs of photo studios from the debris. The photos were then arranged into a photo-list of personnel photos and snapshots from all studios in Bam.

Orchestration








San Giovanni a Teduccio is one of the many abandoned industrial areas in countryside of Naples where a group street artists share an abandoned library with an orchestra of classic music as the place of rehearsal and artistic activity. This documentary is a collection of various portraits of the characters who are attending this location. People who are different just as musical instruments but together are capable of creating a harmony.

Solo








An experimental short film about a young music student in Tehran, just tuning his cello.
The film is inspired by the real rehearsal location of music students in University of Tehran: an isolated corridor-like space from both sides blocked by rows of lockers. Music students would mostly rehearse below the stairs, facing a mere white wall, on the dead end of this presumed shelter.

The Landing








The Coldness of the life of a married couple living in an apartment in Tehran and that of a young couple who have ran away and taken shelter on the roof of the same building for the night. The young couple waits for a call from someone who is supposed to help them find a place and to later leave the country.
